DIVERSIFICATION OF THE OFFER

In the sector of the catering, numerous investments are undertaken to improve the reception of the students in the existing structures.

From the well-balanced meal (starter, dish and dessert) at a social price to the new set menus of fast food at low prices offered in cafeterias, the CROUS allies food balance, diversification of set menus to answer the evolution of tastes, and food practices at the best price.

UNIVERSITY RESTAURANTS: STUDENT LIFE PLACES…

Nowadays, the regular organization of information actions makes university restaurants real places of student life, where good food and conviviality live harmoniously.

… AND ALSO AWARENESS PLACES FOR THE STUDENTS

The Crous of Upper-Normandy commits in the prevention, through campaigns on a national scale, around the question of food balance as well as on the questions of health or environment.

HEALTH

Every year, the CROUS and the SMENO organize jointly the “Well-Being Week” for the students and broach the themes around well-being : isolation, stress, sleeping disorders, addictions, food balance, physical condition …

The CROUS of Upper-Normandy get together every year with the LMDE (Students cooperative) for the fight against AIDS by organizing the operation “Coffee In”. LMDE organizers go to university restaurants in order to inform students. The CROUS staff also gives, in a symbolic way, a condom against the purchase of a coffee during the operation.

FOOD BALANCE

The “Food Balance Week” is also the result of a CROUS/SMENO partnership. Health advisers of the SMENO welcome students in the university restaurants to judge the balance of their tray and health workers from the preventive medicine of the University of Rouen give them nutrition advice.
